Introduction of Rana Project Unit (RPU)

RANA Project Unit called “RPU” Established by Rana University in November 2013. RANA Project Unit is a global leader in Skills and Talent Development, Project Management, Capacity Building, Offers multi-disciplinary learning management and training delivery solutions to corporations, institutions, and individuals Afghanistan. RPU Unit offers a personalized level of advising to computer science and business administration and other stream students.

RPU is one of the leading departments of Rana University which provide the different career development services, advising, retention, and career planning to all Rana University bachelor and diploma level students within Rana University. It has become known, in particular, as a corporate training and Industrial Training Unit of RANA University Kabul, Afghanistan with customized programs for both large and small enterprises.

Rana Project Unit is one of the reputed project unit of Rana University Kabul Afghanistan, which is working relentlessly to promote the women empowerment & leadership development of Afghanistan Youth and community and provide the sustainable technical solutions through various activities in the field of Information technology, training and skill development across entire Afghanistan.

Team RPU:

Rana Project Unit  is directly reporting his day to day activities to respected chancellor of Rana University and supervise and operated by Mr.Pardeep Sharma who is presently assign as In charge of Rana Project Unit. Mr.Pardeep Sharma is well qualified and completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource & Operation Management, Software Engineering and also certified as Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) from Microsoft. Mr.Pardeep Sharma is having 12 Years Plus relevant education industry experience in Project Management, Training Implementations, Operations and leading the International Academic Affairs in education industry domain at national & International Level.

Mr.Pardeep Sharma is having international working exposure of different countries like India, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bhutan and serving education Industry from past 12 Years and Rana University from last 04 years as Sr.Project Manager and as Director of International Affairs.

Mr.Pardeep Sharma  is having enough experience to do the implementation of the small and large scale projects with different donors like Ministry of Communication and IT (MCIT) in Afghanistan, USAID (U.S Agency of International Development), NIIT Ltd (India & Bhutan, Maldives), Next Education India Pvt Ltd, Aptech India &Afghanistan, Ministry of Education Bhutan, Ministry of Education Maldives, Care Foundation, EUPOL (European Police Commission Afghanistan, AWDP (Afghanistan Work Force Development Program), DPS (Delhi Public School) etc.

A part of this below mentioned qualified team members of RPU team also providing his active support to Rana Project Unit department on regular basis:

RPU Implemented Projects History

Since inception, RU has established a project unit so called “RPU” under which, various capacity building program such as English Language Diploma, Computer literacy, Project Management and many others commenced their operations and effectively contributed in training and graduating students who are pursuing career in English literature, computer soft and hard skills and Project Management. So, that they all will get connected with the technology and updated themselves based on industry requirements.

National &International Collaborations

One of the major visions of Rana Project Unit is to make Rana University as one of the reputed “Internationally recognized Universities” in Asia and other continents of the world. Rana Project Unit is given his main focus on National and International collaborations since from his establishment. Since the establishment of Rana University, it has always been committed and strived to provide its students best international exposure. In aligned with that university is expanding its network in US, Canada, Europe, Turkey, Iran, China, and India through the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the universities in those countries.

These MoUs with the academically proficient universities in those countries will provide the opportunities to our students to study there, and also an exposure of first world and emerging economies. University provides an opportunity to meet with Fulbright Scholars, Chevening scholar, and ICSSR Fellows and often plan their orientation session for students to do their applications. Rana Project Unit has in-house classroom facility to help in the preparation of IELTS, and TOEFL Exam, additionally International Office of the university is fully equipped to conduct counseling session to select universities across the countries.

Rana Project Unit gave its tremendous contribution to signing the different MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with different national & International Universities. Recently Rana University has signed a MoUs with below mentioned universities. In which students of Rana University will get an opportunity to complete their Bachelor & Master Degree Program.

Student Exchange Program

One of the main objective and mission of RPU is to provide the right platform to all Rana University students for their master and bachelor degree program and keep all signed MoU active with national and International Universities. RPU offers twin programs through which students would have the opportunities to have local and international experience and exchange cultural information by studying at international institutes and universities during the program around the world.

Recently, Rana University started the student semester exchange program with “Shoolini University “India which is one of the reputed universities in Himachal Pradesh India and with “Opole University Poland to send the students for master degree and semester exchange program RPU unit given his tremendous contribution. All nominated students are evaluated on certain criteria’s of selection process and after careful evaluation RPU unit get success to send university 03 students for Master Degree Program with “Shoolini University” India.  A part of this RPU unit also selected 03 another students for semester exchange program with Opole University Poland under “Erasmus+” Scholarship Program. But due to visa limitations from Poland Embassy student didn’t succeed to get visa of Poland.

During the execution of the process following procedures are followed by RPU Unit which is mentioned as below:

  • Arrangement of Invitation Letter for all selected students

In future also Rana Project Unit will keep continue his valuable services for all Rana University students and provide them numbers of other higher education program in different countries.

RANA Project Unit is one of the active and most reputed units of Rana University. Rana Project Unit team members always gave his valuable support and his active participation in different national and International conferences and other program.  Below are some of the major achievements of Rana Project Unit.

  • On the behalf of Rana University Rana Project Unit Project Manager given his active participation in “INBUS ERA WORLD SUMMIT 2018” which is organize by Amity University (India’s No.1 Private Leading University) in New Delhi on 07th To 9th Feb 2018 and received Guest of Honor from Amity University India.
  • On Behalf of Rana University RPU given his active participation “UTTARAKHAND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FESTIVAL” 2018 which is organize by District Administration of Champawat, Tehri Garwal Uttarakhand India on 21st To 25th Feb 2018. University represented by Mr.Pardeep Sharma (Director of International Affairs) and Dr. Sanjeev Puri in field of Quality Education. Indian Universities, NGO’s and different countries International delegates like (India, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Israel, Philistine,Eqypt, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Turkmenistan, Yemen) etc. given there active participation  for the 17 different Sustainability Development Areas.
  • Rana University got awarded by District Administration of Champawat Uttrakhand with “Change Maker Award” for his outstanding contribution towards the empowerment of Women Leadership and for providing the quality education within Afghanistan.
  • Rana University sign the International MoU with Shoolini University Himachal India and Rana University 03 students got International Scholarship Under Student Exchange Program with Shoolini University and successfully started there Master Degree within Shoolini University Himachal in Feb 2018.
  • Rana Project Unit Successfully Implemented Promote Women Leadership Development Training Program in Kabul, Herat & Mazar-E-Sharif and received Appreciation Award from Dr.Shafiullah Naimi Chancellor of Rana University
  • Rana Project Unit Successfully Implemented Advance Level IT Training Program in Kabul Appreciation Award from Dr.Shafiullah Naimi Chancellor of Rana University and Ministry of Communication and IT Kabul Afghanistan.

Upcoming Projects Proposal Submission

Rana project unit is actively seeking the new upcoming opportunity at national and international level. RPU project team actively following the all RFPs which is announce by different donors within Afghanistan. At the same time RPU team is developing the Proposals based on donor requirements and performing the submission activities based on mentioned deadlines. RPU Unit is planning to establish RPU as a leading Corporate Training Unit which offers Managed Training Services (MTS) to market-leading organizations in Afghanistan. RPU's Skills and Careers Group (SCG)

RPU Unit is planning to delivers a diverse range of learning and talent development programs to millions of individuals and corporate learners in areas including Banking, Finance & Insurance, Soft Skills, Business Analytics, Retail Sales Enablement, Management Education, Vocational Skills, Digital Media Marketing and new-age IT. These programs are delivered through a hybrid combination of the Learning Technology. Establishment of Rana Foundation

Rana Project Unit (RPU) had a plan to establish “Rana Foundation Helping Hand” with the motive of “Let Serve the Society Together”. The main objective of this foundation is providing the necessary support to needy and poor people nationally and internationally and generates the employment for afghan youth. On the hand main objective of this foundation is to increase the women empowerment within the society and provide the right platform of work to all the females. To do the establishment of “Rana Foundation” Rana Project Unit already starts the registration process with Ministry of Justice and by end of the current year this foundation will come into action and start his regular activities with in Afghanistan society.

A part of this Rana Project Unit is planning to organize online webinar session with different management experts who are working nationally and internationally with different organization and with different sectors.

Establishment of Rana Knowledge Centre

Rana Project Unit had a plan to establish a “Knowledge Development” Centre within university library. The main objective of this center is to provide the online practical video tutorials to all stream students and change the teaching and learning approach to theoretical to practical way. RANA Project Unit already submits the blue print of “Knowledge Centre” to respected chancellor of University and only approval is required.

Establishment of Rana Open Theatre

Rana Project Unit (RPU) had a plan to establish “Rana Open Theater” within University campus in coming year. Main objective of this theatre is to improve the leadership knowledge of all stream students. Each department will shows motivational films and videos and speech of Industry leaders business leaders to there students with help of this theatre and provide them all updated industry information to there students on timely basis.  This theatre will also improve the confidence level among the students and students will improve there knowledge and skills with practical approach.

Job Placements & Internship Program

Rana Project Unit is continuous working for the development of the students and provide them the right employment opportunity based on there education and skills. To increase the internship and Job placements program with in Rana University RPU team is had a plan to sign the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with different telecommunication, Sales, Marketing and Technology based companies as well as with different NGOs and Ministries. A part of this RPU Unit also organize the “Job Fair” and “Trade Fair” on timely basis to increase the business opportunities and employment opportunity for our students.

Development of International Relationship

Rana Project Unit had a plan to sign the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Asian and Islamic Universities within coming year so, that we can generate maximum opportunities for our students. A part of this major objective to do the development of International relationship is to increase the Joint research and Faculty exchange program within two universities so that maximum knowledge will be exchange between two different organizations. A part of this RPU Unit also had plan to build up his relationship with different embassy and consulate within Afghanistan and other countries so that we can explore more opportunities of business without any restrictions.

Participation in International Conferences and Seminar

RPU had vision to establish the active bench marks for Rana University Internationally. To accomplishment of this objective RPU had a plan to give his active participation in different National and International Conferences and Seminars which is organize by different organization in different countries on timely basis.

ISO Certification & Other International Accreditation

RPU Unit strongly believe in International membership and international accreditation. To recognize RANA University globally ISO Certification and International Accreditation is required. RPU had a plan to achieve the below mentioned accreditation for RANA University in coming years.

  • ISO Certification 9001:2017
  • International Association of Universities (IAU)
  • International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE)
  • Global Business School Network (GBSN)
  • Member of American Chamber of Commerce

To start membership process the above international governing bodies RPU need a specific budget allocation from management end along with prior approval in advance.

Other Programs

RPU Unit is always given his valuable contribution for the successful implementation of other activities which is organized by other departments of Rana University. In the current year also RPU had plan to provide his valuable support in different activities which is mentioned as below:

  • Counseling Support to University reception at time of New Semester Admission
  • Implementation of con core examination
  • Necessary support required by different departments at time of university convocation
  • Any other support which is requested by different department including chancellor office
